The GFW Block is History...For Now

For those of you who live in China I would like to announce a very special event that happened today.  At about 2pm Beijing time, after three months of non-stop blockage, some internet censor in Beijing finally decided to let my blog free from the Great Fire Wall.

I have no idea why I was blocked.  I have no idea why I was un-blocked.  I guess my location doesn't help much, I'm sure.

Anyway, please feel free to stop by and add your comments now and hopefully I'll be able to continue to build this site into a great resource for people interested in Xinjiang.

Peace!
Josh

Congratulations, Josh. You must feel liberated. Henceforth, March 9th will be known as "Farwestchina Emancipation Day". Get your flags ready.

I'm currently in Oz and I can report that their are no firewall issues with your site here.

After your comment about the reporter pic I noticed that you weren't on my blogroll - duly rectified.

Love the blog, btw.

Yay!

Of course, now I'm back in California and don't have to worry about the Great Firewall, but still...

Yay!
