Decades ago China tested nuclear bombs in Xinjiang and as a result the Lop Nor region is dotted with holes like a teenager suffering from acne. Last Monday China successfully tested a missile intercept system in or near Xinjiang and as a result we have a ton of UFO sightings.
It hasn’t been confirmed whether the missile shield test and the UFO sightings are the same event, but the timing and descriptions are too close for coincidence in my book. According to an interesting article by James Oberg for NBC, one Xinjiang resident observed:
“…there was a light in the sky, a light blue ball, a horizontally fast-moving ball of light. Then it collided with an unknown object, resulting in an explosion, and this produced two white circular light waves.”
The actual location of the test is unknown as similar descriptions were given by people in the nearby province of Gansu and the neighboring country of Mongolia. I’m rooting for Xinjiang, obviously. All locations agree, however, that the Chinese government’s claim of a successful test is true. Congrats are in order.
I personally have no problem with a country testing their defense system in my backyard, especially if it is free from devastating nuclear effects. However I do wish that once – just once – they would have the decency to call me first so I can sit outside with a folding chair and a cup of coffee.
I sure would love to have my own “UFO” story.

Hi, what people saw is impossible to be the missile test. You know the missile test was in outer space. It's impossible for people to see that.
